About Mrs. Lee

Howdy! I am a Rhetoric School English teacher at Brazos Christian. I also advise the School Life Team and the TAPPS Academics Team. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in English and a minor in History. My certification is in English Language Arts & Reading grades 8-12. I am currently working on a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Literacy Studies from UT Arlington.

My hometown is Virginia Beach, Virginia, but I’ve lived in Bryan/College Station for the past 16 years. My husband Neal and I have two kids: Rachel is a senior at CSHS and Mikey is a junior at BCS. We attend Grace Bible Church (Anderson campus) where I am involved in the worship ministry.


Hobbies & Interests: reading, writing, poetry, movies, music, fandoms, and pop culture.

Favorite books/series: The Little Prince by Antoine Saint-Exupéry, The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and everything by Jane Austen.

Current and recent reads: Spinning Silver  by Naomi Novik, The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman (re-read), Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple, Educated by Tara Westover, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah (re-read), Earthsea series by Urusula Le Guin, Circe by Madeline Miller, The Name of the Wind series by Patrick Rothfuss.

Likes: coffee, flowers, memes, dark chocolate (any chocolate), and Grumpy Cat.

Dislikes: bugs, pencils, comic sans, and decaf coffee.
